You can always take your car up to the front gate and based on the conditions just park at the rangers office. There's an entry fee now $15. If you decide yes, then go for it. Otherwise you can hop in. Ebrake turns at 50+mph are the most fun. There aren't any rocks on the lakebed, but just outside it, yes there is. the lakebed part is smooth as can be, but if you happen to dig into a dip going sideways, you'll kick up a large dirt chunk and with enough energy, it will behave like a rock. |
