Haha... that is part of being sponsored... you run their stickers on the car, you get the parts for free or partial... and then some companies screw you, and make you pay full price for it by charging it to your credit card... that's why this kit is now for sale...

To be honest, I read the contract over many times... it does not state that I can not run another companies parts... it does not state that you are going to charge me the full MSRP of the price if the contract ends either... I also showed my lawyer friend (Harvard Law School) the contract, and she told me that it's not worth taking it to court because it's just too small an amount... she did also warn me to cover my tracks and let you guys know if I sold the kit so as to release myself of the liabilities and to have a paper trail.
It does not state anything about me expressing my opinions of my experience. I have the freedom of expression, and it's just one case of negative feedback for a huge company that has many more good comments and experiences that will be posted on forums. I just feel as if you weren't really willing to work with me, and just pretty much gave me a cold shoulder and an ultimatum. I could tell in your tones that you were angry with me, whether it was me, or you had a bad day at work. I did the right thing and removed the quote you posted in your email. I just wish you guys would treat the next guy that you sponsor better, and lay things out in writing so they won't feel the same way as I did.
I also know that you are doing your job, and I understand that you might have been forced to do so. I don't hold a grudge against you, but just the experience. I think I learned a valuable lesson.
The advertising shoot for Motul and the magazine spreads that I will be doing in about a month will now be running either the Veilside kit or a custom body kit with Seibon parts. I must still admit that the bottomline was very well designed, and wish we could have worked something out.
On a side note... Seibon actually partnered with Rays Engineering in Japan, and their image has actually risen over the years. Rays Engineering is now the main distributor of Seibon Japan... So it would not have been such a bad idea to run Chargespeed with Seibon in my opinion... but it's just my opinion.
