OK so everytime I turn on the AC I hear a click... and while driving with the AC on... I hear lil spirts of air for about half a sec... (BOV/PBV is stock)
I got my car washed on sunday and it was warm so I turned on the AC... I was coasting about 40 MPH and my speedo goes to 0 and goes up and down then went back to the speed I was going. As this was happening I didn't have the radio on, didn't hear anything strange while this was happening and didn't feel anything while my foot was on the gas. I hit up Puente Hills Subaru (since they are the ones who rebuilt my motor/engine) and its gonna cost $100 just to dianostic it, which is fucken bullshit if u ask me, cause its prolly some wire that is not connected correctly or needs to be repalced, and imma have to pay for the replacement and the diagnostics. So I'm wondering if ne one can help me out... or has had this problem b4.
I sent Chad a Video of the speedo going crazy.... maybe he can upload it cause I cant.

have you tried disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it to reset it?

He same thing with the speedo happened to my red car, I believe it was a fualty sensor. Nissan replaced it and it was covered under my extended warrenty

After my timing belt replacement, my AC does the same thing. theres a spurt of air everytime the AC compressor kicks in, it's kind of annoying. However, for the speedometer diagnostic, it would take about half a day. Assuming it's not a lot of trouble, I'd tap into the ECU with a meter and watch the voltages change as you're driving. If speedo drops to Zero, i'd like to see what happens on the meter. Rinse & repeat with the plug behind the cluster. At that point, I'd know if the problem was under the hood or inside the cabin. I still wouldn't know what to by then, but at least it's something that's been figured out. Could be a loose plug / wire / sensor on the block & transmission. |
