I also had 3.73 gears with a 4000 stall, now I have 4.56s with a 3000 nitrous converter.
You can check out the car and its current pics at www.jonesingforspeed.com
But I hope you guys enjoy:

I would love to but that shit gets 2.2mpg.... yeah i did the math.  Its got a 15gal fuel cell, I live 80 miles from you guys so yeah lol...  3 tanks to get there and 3 tanks to get back if I drive nice.

I have to put a hitch on my suburban, when I do, I'll make it a point to tow that shit out there...

OR we should start a Hesperia Subi meet!  Lots of subies out here with lots of dirt roads.  DOOEEET!!!

BAH!!! We blew up the tranny in the Nova!!!!
Group of guys were talking shit saying they have a wagon that would own everyone up in the high desert.  So my business partner starts talking shit back and calls me to bring the Nova down.  Long story short,  few people pooled $!600 and we made our way to a back industrial road.  During the actual race, my Nova's tranny got fried going into 2nd and didnt want to shift into 3rd at all... keep in mind I have only 3 gears.  Funny thing is, we STILL owned them in 2nd gear... lol
losers.  anyway, heres the vid.  (you can actually hear the tranny go out in the shift from 1st to 2nd and the many attempts to get into 3rd.)
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/pIQMEcDJlmM&amp;rel=0" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/pIQMEcDJlmM&amp;rel=0</a>

Tranny got pulled out that night and was sent out the next day
Currently, the tranny is rebuilt nasty with a 4000 Nitrous Stall Converter (was a 3000)
Its not in yet, but she's gonna launch so nasty..

Nah, the tranny going out was honestly a blessing.  That tranny has been acting weird the last year and a half.  It was so minor, that I started to question my sanity.  Also, I always regretted doing down in stall converters to make the car more streetable.  the 3000 stall, really hurt the car off the line and thats where my car shines.  So back to the 4000 stall.  I'm happy.  This is tranny #7 and stall converter #9

HAHAA I gotta change the "about me" section on my website

DAMN Ken!!! You're shit's no joke..congrats on the murdering, even though its a beloved wagon....Sad  Since your new stall converter is @ 4K, how was your 383 built?  Is it more for low end, high end?  I would imagine the revs dont' go past 5.5k?

Yeah, most stroker motors are low reving, but mine is a long rodded 383.  Normal 383's have 5.575inch rods, but I got the 6 1/8 inch rods for mine.  The rod geometry is a lot better.  The reving capabilities are a lot better and the motor lasts SOOO much longer.  Its an 8000rpm motor

Here are the specs:

1969 SS 350 Block - 4 bolt main (3970010)
- block has been resin filled to handle 900+hp

Eagle - 4340 Forged 3.75" crank (400 Crank)
-Knife Edged and Lightened

Eagle H-Beam 4340 Forged Rods (6 1/8")

JE 4340 Forged Pancake Pistons (full floating pins) (11:1 Compression = Pump Gas)

64cc Edelbrock Performer RPM Heads (Aluminum)
-Fully ported and port matched to the intake and exhaust
-Valves Sizes increased from 2.02/1.60 to 2.08/1.60
-Rev Kit / k-motion springs
-Comp Roller Rockers

Holley Strip Dominator Intake Manifold
-Ported to match heads

Holley 830cfm Mechanical Double Pumper Carb

Iski Cam - Solid Roller Cam - .602/.602 lift  300/300 duration with 1.6' rockers = .642 final lift

Ignition
MSD 6AL Box with changeable rev limiter chips
MSD Distributor

Painless Wiring Kit (I replaced every single wire in the car with a kit after it caught on fire 10 years ago lol, funny now, but not when it happened.  Almost lost the car, the fire came from the fuse box, caught the carpet and insulation on fire, smoke filled the cab and I had to pull over cus I couldnt see out the windshield.  I thought about all the people that watched their cars burn to the ground and made the decision of burning the shit out of my hands before i let that happen.  I ripped out all the burning wires and burning insulation with my hands...  I honestly didnt feel the pain until about 20 min after it was over, my adrenaline was pumping.  Anyway, after that, I went to pep boys, picked up some wires, rigged the car to get it home and got a pair of pliers and cut every wire out of the car.  Yes, including brake light wires, reverse light wires, EVERYTHING.  Ordered me the painless kit. It took me about 20 hours total to wire the car back up.  The car now has a fusebox with new type fuses, not the bulb kind, and wires for power windows, power seats, power mirrors, AC etc etc. Its all wrapped up neatly and zip tied inside the fender well and under the dash.  Sorry for the novel i just wrote lol)

Entire assembly has been blueprinted, matched and balanced to each corresponding part.

I BROKE IT AGAIN AAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!! (new tranny on its way...again)
Gonna be a Reverse Pattern TH350 Manual Valve Body with race clutches and a 4000rpm 9.5 inch stall =)

This vid is actually with the new (now old) tranny (3 weeks ago) I think trans case may have a crack on it purging hydrolic pressure...also could be the valve body, cus it only slips during launches.  At speed it works fine.
whatever, its junk, so I got a new one.  Its on its way, but heres a vid of my broken car.
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/Q6Dj63JpLyo&amp;rel=0" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/Q6Dj63JpLyo&amp;rel=0</a>

fine during downshifts, feels a little sluggish, but nothing compared to the launches...

515am done with work for the night.  Gonna try and get some sleep... a whopping 4 hours...
anyway, yeah, broke the new trans... This thing has been a thorn in my life recently.  Tranny was supposed to be here last Tues, but still hasnt come.  I gotta call the guy again... sigh.  Anyway in the mean time, we put my buddies tranny in it with a 5000 stall, cus some douche bags wanted to race, it launches so evil.  Money was minimal (100 bucks), it was more for fun than anything, but they kept cheating.  Starting early.

here are the vids and the descriptions:
1st run of the night, these guys started early and still lost. They had a full on race car with uncorked headers, and fuel injected nitrous system, etc etc. The outcome of the runs were going to be determined by how much of a loss or win each car did motor to motor, with no nitrous. This would see if nitrous was even an option. We beat them by 1 fender length on the motor, this means that motor to motor, it was a very good run so to consider throwing nitrous in the mix, would be pointless and would be an obvious loss for us. We won by a little, even though they cheated and started early which they did in every race for the rest of the night...Anyone that tries to say they were racing fairly, these videos are proof they started early. I didnt even bother putting the other 4 videos up because its a waste of your life to watch it. Thank you and enjoy
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/kN7EPCsLjb8&amp;rel=0" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/kN7EPCsLjb8&amp;rel=0</a>

2nd run of the night, We beat them by half a car length on the motor, this means that motor to motor, it was a very good run so to consider throwing nitrous in the mix, would be pointless and would be an obvious loss for us. We won by a little. After the run they were pissed and wanted to run on their bottle against our motor, we said "do you think we're stupid, we may as well hand our money over to you and save the wear and tear of the cars" After constant arguing we finally agreed to run again, but they gave us space, they kept trying to inch forward and kept starting early, and when they did, donnie was smart and didnt go. So they had to back up and do all their burnouts again. This happened about 4 times, so we finally got sick of their crap and loaded the cars back up and left.
